Tech overview
A Dewatering Screw Press is a mechanical dewatering equipment used to separate liquid from solid material through gradual compression and pressure-driven filtration. It is widely used across industries for reducing moisture content in sludge, fiber, pulp, biomass, organic waste, agricultural residue, industrial byproducts, and various other wet materials.
The primary objective of a Dewatering Screw Press is to achieve efficient moisture reduction and volume reduction, making the material easier and more economical to handle, transport, dry, compost, dispose of, or further process.
The Building blocks
Process Flow
Wet material is continuously fed into the Dewatering Screw Press through the inlet hopper.
Applications may include:
sludge, biomass, pulp, organic waste, food processing waste, industrial slurry & fibrous material
The screw rotates slowly and conveys the material forward while progressively reducing the available volume inside the press.
This gradual reduction generates increasing pressure on the material.
As compression builds, liquid is forced through the surrounding screen openings and collected separately as filtrate.
The efficiency of separation depends on:
material characteristics, feed consistency, screen selection, screw configuration & backpressure settings
The compressed solids are discharged continuously from the outlet end as a dewatered cake with significantly reduced moisture content.
The discharged material becomes:
easier to transport, easier to store, less odorous, lower in volume & more economical for downstream drying or disposal

Advantages
Low Energy Consumption
Continuous & Reliable Operation
Low Maintenance Requirement
Compact & Space Efficient
Compared to many conventional dewatering systems, screw presses require relatively less installation space while still handling substantial throughput capacities.
Our Product Range
The α Series Conical Screw Press is designed for demanding dewatering applications where achieving higher dryness is critical. The gradually tapering screw profile generates progressive compression and high torque, making it ideal for fibrous, bulky, and high-moisture materials.
Best suited for applications requiring:
The β Series Cylindrical Screw Press is engineered for reliable dewatering across a broad range of pulpy and moderately fibrous materials. The uniform screw geometry provides stable conveying, controlled compression, and simplified maintenance for continuous industrial operation. Its straight-through configuration allows easy integration into both new and existing process lines.
Best suited for applications requiring:
The γ Series Multi Disk Screw Press is designed for continuous dewatering of low-consistency sludge and slurry streams, typically between 0.5% and 5% solids. Using alternating moving and stationary rings, the system delivers efficient sludge dewatering with low power consumption and minimal operator involvement.
Its compact footprint and fully automatic operation make it ideal for municipal and industrial sludge handling applications.
Best suited for applications requiring:
